Quick Review

The latest entrant into the compact SUV market from India’s largest SUV maker Mahindra is the Nuvosport. However, this sub four meter compact SUV is not entirely a new vehicle but it’s basically a Quanto on steroids. Nuvosport will replace Quanto in Mahindra’s lineup which promises a much fresh design than its predecessor. On the outside, the first thing that you will notice on this compact SUV is a revamped façade which includes stylish eyebrow styled daytime running LED strip that sits above the sweptback headlamp cluster. Along with crisp creases on the bonnet flowing onto the front grille, the addition of an air scoop on the bonnet makes it quite aggressive and sporty to look at. Its raised front bumper with a nudge guard styled black casing along with meshed styled air vents speaks for an aggressive SUV design. All seems to be working well for Mahindra with its aggressive design at the front. Apart from the pseudo skid plate housing at the front bumper, the overall design looks stylish and will attract young buyers. Move onto the side and the use of black cladding continuous onto the wheel arches and onto the side skirts as well giving it an SUV stance. The SUV now rides on large 16 inch wheels which appear quite stylish. The Quanto look can be easily seen on the top half of this compact SUV from the side with a sharp character line on the shoulders and blackened C pillar as well. Its rear also sports a spare wheel mounted tailgate with a stylish wheel cover, while the vertically mounted tail lights gives it a raised stance. On the whole, it’s the façade only that has undergone a major facelift which does make it quite aggressive while the rest of the exterior does remind you of the Quanto.
