Wrapup

For speedy customers, Figo's engine performance and handling will lure them while for the rest its practicality and ride quality will impress them. Interiors can be much better but has nice safety package fitted. It's one of the best all-rounders at its price point with a strong diesel motor. Well engineered product and priced reasonably, it deserves more success.

Quick Review

The next Gen-Figo has changed leaps and bounds when compared to its predecessor with an all new stylish body and even better dynamics and ride quality on offer. Right from its inception, this mid sized hatchback has been the real mover for Ford in the country clocking maximum sales figures among the Ford’s lineup. The latest avatar looks well packaged and will surely entice Indian buyers with its European styling and some nicely borrowed looks. The only thing that stands out on the outside is its Aston Martin inspired front grille with four chrome slats that gives it a stunning look. The sculpted hood lines on the bonnet does give it an aggressive look which is well captured by the elongated sweptback headlamps. The Ford badging which sits right on the top of the front grille gives this hatch the iconic Ford look. Coupled with a wide air dam on the front bumper and a neatly placed front lip spoiler, this new age Figo does flaunts its sporty character which is completed by the circular fog lamps mounted on the corners of the bumper. On the side is where this new gen Figo sheds its bulky image and opts for a better aerodynamic layout with a deep shoulder line running from the taillight cluster onto the A pillar. The only let down on the sides are smaller 14 inch rims which could have been replaced by better looking 15 or 16 inch wheels that you nowadays see on most of the premium hatchbacks. A lot has changed on the rear as well and we have to admit its a good change after all! The sharp crease on the tail gate amalgamates well with its curved sweptback taillights and offers quite an elegant look from the rear. The lowered down loading lip and some fine lines on the rear bumper makes for a clever and an appealing design. Ford has also thrown modern day features to make the new Figo premium. The list includes electrically folding ORVMs with turn indicators, rear spoiler, rear defogger with wiper and washer function to name a few.
