Wrapup

Nicely designed cross over has many flaws to start with like driving position, equipments, engine performance. But its styling and interors attract crowd towards it. It has good ride with nice handling. Though company could have improved in many departments yet its abarth version makes a good point about engines and styling to gather

Quick Review

Neatly dressed in a crossover attire, Fiat introduced the Avventura in 2014 which is basically a cross version of the Punto Evo. This adventure trail offering from Fiat is very much a Punto Evo only under the flesh but with some smart features and accessories added to its core, it does appear distinct and ready to take on non-tarmac roads. Manifesting the same sweptback large headlights on the slanted bonnet with sculpted lines at the centre, its front is not very different from the fellow sibling hatch. The front rectangular shaped grille with chrome outlines gives it a stylish yet modern charm. However, the real changes at the front can be seen on the front bumper which now houses chunky black cladding running all the way onto the side along with a front skid plate that gives it a rugged appeal. This large all-black cladding runs onto the side wheel arches as well and further leads upto the rear bumper. From the side, this cross also sports a thick black molding with ‘Avventura’ embossed which seems like an attempt from the brand to differentiate this offering from other Punto Evo based vehicles that it offers. Raised roof rails onto the sides, makes its case strong for being an adventure vehicle in strapping luggage or even a mountain bike easily. Presence of large 16 inch wheels ups its stance while the main USP here remains its raised ground clearance of 205 mm which is quite decent enough to surpass rough roads. Moving onto the back and this crossover really displays its unusual styling with the spare wheel mounted onto the tail gate. This really gives the Avventura presence on the road but on the looks of it, it does remain a little subjective. On the practical front, opening and closing of the boot can only be done once you move the heavy spare tyre mounting onto the sides, which really is a task in itself! Other than that, you also get a rear spoiler, rear skid plate as well as large reflectors mounted on the rear bumper. To complete its overall distinct attire, vertically mounted tail lights are like icing on the cake for this cross avatar from Fiat.
