3 Series

Wrapup

The present model is more spacious than its predecessor while offering drive quality which many still term as the segment best. Considered as a class benchmark for handling, BMW has improved the car in all aspects while keeping the fun to drive factor as intact as possible. The diesel engine could have been more silent though.

Quick Review

3 Series has mostly been the bread and butter for BMW in India. This entry level luxury offering from the German auto mogul has managed to capture a big share of the luxury segment pie especially in the recent years. Running successfully in its sixth generation, the latest 3 Series avatar now dons a sportier profile that is quite striking to look at. Its dynamic arrow like bonnet creases runs onto the iconic BMW kidney grille wrapped in chrome which is now connected to the LED headlights giving it a connected look at the front. The circular LED rings make it unmistakably BMW mounted on more sleek and stretched headlight unit. With the option of opting for different packages, one can easily customize the front bumper which comes with a wide airdam and small circular fog lamps mounted at the corners. Its winged front lip spoiler with sharp lines highlights its sporty and dynamic contours. Opting for a slight sloping roofline which can be witnessed from the sides, designers at BMW have tried to give this sedan some coupe styling. With sharp shoulder line running on the sides, the 3 Series does appear quite long and aggressive as well. The choice of 17 inch as standard and 18 inch wheels for the M Sport package offers a much fresh look from the sides.

This latest facelift avatar of the 3 Series now gets a stylish pair of LED lights at the back which will help its case by giving it a distinct look from its family siblings. The split sweptback tail lamps appear quite stylish on its chiseled boot. Manifesting its sporty stance, the black cladding at the lower end of the rear bumper with twin chrome exhausts and smart looking reflectors adds on to its overall appeal. The L shaped fine lines on the rear bumper offers a sporty yet wide appeal to this new generation luxury sedan.
